From Seeds to Leaders: Nurturing talent at Nayara Energy
In Nayara, we believe in investing in young talent, to create future leaders ready for the organisation. With this endeavour, we embarked on the first Management trainee (MT) programme. This is aimed at nurturing & grooming to create a robust talent leadership pipeline.
The 15-week programme was crafted to provide a comprehensive understanding of Nayara's Business Value Chain and in-depth knowledge of various marketing functions and their interdependencies.
The learning journey during these 15 weeks was a blend of Classroom Sessions, Development Centre, Field Training, Action Learning Projects, and on-the-job learning experiences along with mentorship from our seasoned professionals.
One of the unique aspects of our programme is that the trainees got an in-depth understanding of the entire fuel supply chain- from our state-of-the-art refinery to the fuel stations and ultimately into the vehicles. They learnt first-hand intricacies & importance of retail operations through 8 weeks of extensive field stints along with safety training, and non-fuel retail activities eventually gaining a holistic view of how fuel moves seamlessly from production to consumption.
The leadership and Human Resources team closely tracked the progress of the programme through constant check-ins of the learnings and through the leader connects sessions at regular intervals.
After the completion of the programme, the Management Trainees have been deployed in their final roles which marks the beginning of a career path chalked out for them. The management trainees will be moving into a new cross-functional role with the objective of giving them exposure and enabling them to grow into Leadership roles.
